Lucia Torres is from Talpa de Allende, a small town in Jalisco, Mexico. She is passionate about writing music and children’s books inspired by her native experiences. Her dream is to share her values with families of all cultures.
Q: What inspired the idea behind your book?
A: I wanted to write a book to impress upon kids that actions have consequences.
Q: As an author, what tips would you give anyone who wants to get into writing?
A: Take action and work toward your goals.
Q: What is your favorite book?
A: I don’t necessarily have a favorite, but I like books that are true and that you can learn a positive lesson from.
Q: Was your main character modeled after anyone in your life?
A: No.
Q: What is your favorite part of the writing process?
A: I like getting ideas on paper from my mind and my heart.
Q: Do you believe that being a “good writer” is a developed skill or a natural talent?
A: A natural talent.
Q: Do you have a favorite book, poem, TV, or movie quote?
A: No.
Q: Would you write another book (or are you already writing another book)?
A: Yes, I am writing another book.
Q: Is there an author you look up to, and why?
A: Daniel from the Bible since he was never afraid and never gave up.
Q: If there were an apocalypse and you could only take five books into your doomsday bunker, what would they be?
A: The Bible, Cada Día Es Un Don, and some books for my kids.
