Nola the Noble Corgi Visits the Hospital

Publishing March 10th, 2026 | Hardcover | 32 pages

Nola is so excited. Today is Tuesday, and that means she gets to visit the kids at the children’s hospital and make them feel better!

Nothing makes Nola the therapy dog happier than cheering up the patients at the children’s hospital. She loves brightening the kids’ day with cuddles and tail wags (and she especially loves the treats the hospital staff gives her at the front desk). But no matter how many rooms she visits, there are always children she can’t reach. With the help of her cat companion, Biscuit, Nola hatches a big-hearted plan to make sure all the patients can get uplifting visits from furry friends—even the most unconventional kinds!

About the Author

Growing up on his family farm in rural Ohio, Matthew Swinehart was always surrounded by animals, from pigs to cows to barn cats. After moving around the country as a young adult, he and his wife, Kristen, settled down in northeast Ohio. They rounded out their family with two adorable corgis, Nola and Hashbrown. Matthew realized that Nola had the perfect temperament to serve as a therapy dog, so after going through all the training, he and Nola joined the Doggie Brigade at Akron Children’s Hospital. Inspired by the joy Nola brings patients facing difficult times, Matthew wrote this book in her honor and hopes it will continue to spread happiness to children everywhere. In his spare time, Matthew loves hiking and creating content for Nola’s Instagram (@nolathenoblecorgi). Follow his adventures there!
